How the project started
During the winterseason 2018/19 four friends open up a kyrgisian nomad tent in Gstaad and within 6 weeks they were able to establish a space and concept which is now recongnized for many unforgatable afternoons, evenigs and some long nights. All that in a small but cozy and impressive yurt.
Nomads use to travel… never without their tents..
After the impressive weeks in the swiss Alps, the concept of THE YURT will be continued – right in the heart of Lech am Arlberg,-as a temporary bar, pop – up and event space. From the 13th of December until the easterweekend 2020.

Having the remarkable Hotel Arlberg as a partner to cooperate with, THE YURT is blessed to set up the tent on the hotels very own meadow. Behind the project stands Zayad Shah who is fascinated by the decent elegance of yurts since his time in Gstaad. Together with Oliver Böckl, an old schoolfried and expert of Lech, some well selected drinks and music they would listen to the whole day in any case, they will spread plenty of soul and flow within the round tent.
